Get the app from the Chrome Web Store.
Scout is a hosted product with a Chrome extension for real-browser workflows and a browser runtime for IDE and CLI agents. Install the extension when you want the app; connect your agent to the runtime for external client workflows.
The Chrome Web Store listing name is still being finalized. This page should link to that listing at launch; until then, join the early-access flow and use the setup docs for IDE or CLI agents.
Chrome Web Store
Best for operating your real Chrome session. The extension connects to Scout's Mastra server and uses the AI provider key you add in settings.
Runtime surfaces
Best for IDE agents, Claude Code, CLI harnesses, CI, research, and clean browser sessions. Connect the runtime surfaces you need and authenticate with OAuth or an access token.
01Install the Chrome extension
Install Scout from its Chrome Web Store listing once the launch listing is live. The extension connects to Scout's Mastra server for its built-in tools.
02Add your AI provider key
Add an API key from the AI provider or gateway you want Scout to use. The extension path does not require copying runtime configs.
03Configure agent clients separately
For Claude Code, IDEs, or CLI AI harnesses, connect your agent to the runtime surfaces you need and authenticate with OAuth or an access token.
What users should expect
The browser app belongs in the Chrome Web Store; connector setup belongs in MCP client configuration; AI provider keys belong in the extension settings.
