Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Scout collects, how it is used, and how website analytics relate to the product.
Service rules live in the Terms of Service.
Information we collect
Scout processes information you provide directly, such as account details, contact requests, and payment or billing details handled through our providers.
Scout also processes service-operation data needed to operate the product, including session metadata, account activity, configuration choices, token labels, and account-level usage records.
Google Analytics
The Scout website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site. This may include page views, referrers, approximate geography, browser and device metadata, and interaction events.
Scout enables website analytics only after a visitor accepts analytics storage through the site consent prompt. Declining analytics keeps core site functionality available without loading Google Analytics.
Cookies and local storage
Scout uses cookies, local storage, and similar browser storage for authentication, session continuity, preferences, and analytics measurement.
Authentication and product functionality may require strictly necessary storage. Analytics consent is stored locally in the browser so your preference can be respected on later visits.
How we use information
We use data to operate Scout, secure accounts, respond to support requests, improve product reliability, understand acquisition and engagement, and prevent abuse.
We do not describe browser automation traffic as website analytics data. Product automation behavior and website analytics serve different purposes and are handled separately.
Sharing and disclosures
We share data with service providers that help us operate the product, such as hosting, authentication, analytics, and payment providers.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or other business transfer.
Retention
Scout retains account-level records and billing history for as long as needed to operate the service, prevent abuse, comply with law, and resolve disputes.
Short-lived operational state may be stored ephemerally when possible, while account-owned records such as tokens, billing state, and account preferences may persist until deleted, revoked, or no longer needed for legitimate service operation.
Your choices
You can contact us to request account help, privacy information, or deletion requests where applicable. You can also decline analytics in the site consent prompt or clear your browser storage to reset that choice.
You can revoke Scout access tokens, remove API keys, or disconnect devices from your account settings when those credentials are no longer trusted.
